Small Business with less than 3 employees
If your business has less than 3 employees or you would like to not have the monthly premium payments then a Cost Plus Only Benefit Plan or an Individual Health and/or Dental Plan would work for you.
• Cost Plus is tax preferred compensation plan• No monthly premiums
• Pay only for what you use
This means if you would only pay per benefit use.
Let’s map this out.
Jennifer needs to get some dental work. (Could use actual procedure that costs $2000 i.e. Jennifer needs a root canal) So Jenn goes to the Dentist and gets a $2000 bill. Jenn will submit it to your Company and the Company pays with a 10% admin fee, $2200 to Insurance Company. Insurance Company gives back $2000, keeping 10% and sends cheque to Jenn for $2000. Company gets $2200 tax write off.
It's as simple as that!
